Already for the third time we had Pietro Adragna in our program. On Friday 8 March he gave already two concerts in the musicshop Muziekhuis Da Capo in Nietap (the Neterlands). In his first set he started with a Valse medley followed by Tico Tico, wich he played because he was asked for by some people. He ended his first set with his own arrangement of Tango pour Claude. In his second set he started with a classical medley arranged by himself and it took about 18 minutes! On special request of the organisators Jac and Jeanne Puts he played Adios Nonino from A. Piazzolla in his own arrangement'. This peace is well known in the Netherlands because of the tears of Maxima during the wedding of Maxima with King Alexander from Holland. Omdat Because we also like to give young accordionists the chance to present themself on stage in the theater we reserve some time for this in the program. This year we had Yolanda Lelijveld from Roswinkel asked to play onne peace of maximum 10 minutes. Her choice was the peace “Danse Macabre” from Camile Saint-Saëns wich is not the easiest peace. It was very appreciated by the audience. Congratulations Yolande, well done.

08 P1012329 b2 k1Muziekhuis Da Capo from Nietap (Netherlands).
Again present was one of our sponsors Muziekhuis DaCapo from Nietap (NL). They came with a great stand in the foyer of the theater. Music Meyer Benelux had deliverd a number of HOHNER accordeons at Muziekhuis Dacapo and on this way there was a presentation of HOHNER accordions on the stand of DaCapo. We are very happy especially with our music and accordion sponsors Music Meyer Benelux, Mengascini accordions, Muziekhuis DaCapo, Leo Music and Toon Sileon. Pieter Bosma (photo) from DaCapo gave a demonstration of the Bugari Evo in the foyer of the theater.

10 DSC 0322 k1Organisation and Presentation: Jac & Jeanne Puts together with the board of Stichting Internationaal Accordeonfestival.

Jac and Jeanne decided in July 2017 to create a foundation with a board consisting of 5 persons. Jac Puts (chairman), Jeanne Puts (secretary), Accordeon teachers Gertie Bruin and Henk Puister and cashier Gina Verhoeven. With this foundation we can grant applications at culture funds. We hope to ensure the continuity of this unique accordion event to the future.

Thanks to all sponsors and funds and everyone who helped make this wonderful accordion event possible.

At life and welfare, we hope to welcome you again in the Geert Teis theater on Sunday 8 March 2020.
