Jonas Vozbutas (LT)
Jonas Vozbutas is a classical/jazz accordionist, winner of numerous international music competitions in Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Belarus, Switzerland, Italy, Slovakia, Austria, Latvia, Estonia, Portugal, Germany, France, Croatia, USA and Canada.
He performed on stage with some world-famous Lithuanian and foreign artists, such as violinist Gidon Kremer and pianist Muza Rubackyte. As a soloist he organized 16 recitals in Lithuania, Estonia, France and Ukraine. Only 10 years later he took part in the music festival "PANTONALE" which took place in 2016 at the Berliner Philharmoniker.
In 2018, the young artist acted as a musical ambassador of Lithuania at a major event called "Cultural Days of Europe", organized to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the restoration of the Lithuanian state in Frankfurt and where the young artist performed the solo program and in ensemble with a vocal group from Lithuania called "Jazz island".
Also in 2024 he gave concerts with professional big bands in Omaha, USA, where he shared the stage with some of the greatest jazz stars, such as Jose Valentino, Willie Murillo and Bryan Davis.
He had the opportunity to get to know French culture and contemporary music during the project on the occasion of the beginning of the French Presidency of the European Union and at the same time to make the world premiere of the work "Legend of Egle" for contemporary ensemble composed by Pierre Thilloy in the great hall of the Lithuanian National Philharmonic.
Moreover, delving into the secrets of music, the young accordionist successfully discovers himself in modern and jazz composition.
Recently, Jonas was admitted to one of the most prestigious music schools - Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris - where he deepens his knowledge in the art of accordion playing with prof. Vincent Lhermet.
